Written by Kieran Miller
Chelsea have agreed personal terms with England international, Raheem Sterling.
Sterling is on the verge of signing for Thomas Tuchel‘s, Chelsea this summer for around £45m. The 27-year-old will be one of the highest earners at the club, Sterling will hope to deliver further success to Stamford Bridge in the upcoming seasons.
Earlier in the week, Sterling had asked Thomas Tuchel what life is like at The Blues and what his vision for the club‘s future is. Sterling was instantly impressed with the German coach’s ambitious goals for the club.
The deal will be done soon as the sole thing we are waiting for is for Chelsea to send Manchester City the agreed fee. The departure of Raheem Sterling will be the 5th player to leave Pep Guardiola‘s men this Transfer Window so far.
Chelsea are hoping they sign Sterling in time for him to join Chelsea on their pre-season tour in the US, where they’ll play Club America, Charlotte and Arsenal.
Sterling joined Manchester City in 2015 from Liverpool for around £49m. Raheem has been an excellent servant for Manchester City being at the club for 7 years.
Raheem Sterling was Thomas Tuchel’s main target in this window. The only things to be completed now are paperwork and his Medical. The Englishman will sign a 5-year-deal until the 30th of June 2027.
Chelsea are also in talks to sign Dutchman, Matthijs De Ligt. They are also facing fierce competition from Barcelona for Leeds United winger, Raphinha.
